Garden Tours at the Lavender House

Group visits to the Lavender Garden

About

The visit typically starts with refreshments at the Cross Keys Pub, which allows for accessible parking and toilets, followed by a slow, short walk down to the Lavender garden.

You will enter through the courtyard where every Lavender plant you see was grown through propagation. From here you are introduced to the workshop where all the Lavender items are designed, created and displayed. Then on to the main experimental Lavender garden which was planted seven years ago. Jennifer will take you through how it started and the initial problems she had to overcome. Talking through how to make decisions based on soil type, positioning and design. Jennifer will explore and help you with; choosing, planting, caring, cutting, and drying – regarding all things Lavender.

Questions are always welcome too!

Items can be purchased from the workshop, cash and card accepted.

🌿💜 A Simply Glorious Day at Lavender House! 💜🌿What a truly fabulous outing the Shenanigan Society had this week! We started our adventure with refreshments and utterly delicious cake at the The Cross Keys Pulloxhill setting the tone for a day full of sunshine, laughter, and inspiration. From there, we strolled through the picturesque village of Pulloxhill under a gorgeous summer sky, making our way to the enchanting The Lavender House, where the lovely Jennifer welcomed us into her beautiful garden paradise. We were greeted by the gentle song of canaries in a charming vintage cage – a magical touch that instantly made us feel we’d stepped into another world. 🌼🎶 Jennifer shared her passion and wisdom with us, talking about her journey with the garden – from propagation and pruning to cuttings and all things lavender. We hung on every word, soaking in her knowledge and inspiration. Her garden is full of delightful vintage treasures – a rustic ladder, Victorian cast iron bed, mangle stand, and butcher’s block – all beautifully woven into the space to create a haven of creativity and calm. We left bursting with ideas for our own gardens! Before heading back, we enjoyed a refreshing cold glass of water and browsed Jennifer’s lovely craft workshop, picking up a few charming gifts - for ourselves, of course 😉.
